RemindMe is a to do list program that records your life's little tasks and reminds you about them at the time and date of your choosing. It displays events, holidays, anniversaries and birthdays in an attractive calendar format and can alert you with a custom ringtone or mute alarm (or both) to get your attention when the event is due to happen.

One of the best things about RemindMe is that it allows you to create reminders for any email message in your inbox, regardless of when it was originally sent. The program simply moves that message to the top of your inbox at the set reminder time, which will trigger a notification if you have proper notifications enabled in Mail settings. It's a good alternative to Follow Up, which Apple Mail offers but doesn't always execute in the way you'd expect -- it can sometimes forget that you've read the message and not bleep at you at the scheduled time.

Other useful reminder features in RemindMe include the ability to add multiple lists for different kinds of tasks, a calendar view, and a snooze feature that lets you postpone an alert for 20 minutes, an hour, or until the next day. You can also mark a reminder as complete or delete it. The program is available for both PCs and Macs and comes with cloud synchronization.
